Today I turn the big 3-0! I wanted to celebrate some self care and keep it simple today! I am going to post my favorite oils! Each One of these plays a vital role in my day! I love all the oils, But these are my FAVORITES! What Questions can I answer for you!?
Who needs a little extra pick me up!? This blend is in honor of one of my good friends that absolutely LOVES Doterra’s Blend Cheer.
“DoTERRA Cheer was specifically and chemically constructed to help dispel negative emotions and bring light and sunshine into dark or dreary days.
Orange: has calming properties that help ease feelings of anxiousness. Its aroma is uplifting to the mind and body.
Clove: has an energizing aroma that helps create a feeling of protection and courage.
Star Anise: from China has a licorice-like aroma that is believed to be energizing and to promote feelings of euphoria.
Lemon Myrtle: has calming, sedative properties and has an elevating, refreshing aroma.
Nutmeg: is often used to help increase energy and to support the nervous system from feelings of fatigue.
Vanilla: is calming and balancing and may help ease tension.
Ginger: is often used for its stimulating, warming influence. The aroma may help influence physical energy and love.
Cinnamon: has warming, stimulating properties and is often used to help relieve feelings of depression.
Zdravetz: is a variety of geranium found in Bulgaria. This oil has calming and relaxing properties.
IT HAPPENED! My 9 month old was crawling around on the floor at the doctor and the next day he was sick! We used his open airways blend (Cardamom, Frankincense and FCO) and diffused breathe, but on Sunday he secured my fate by sneezing his green snot all over my eyes and mouth! I really hate calling in sick because in my line of work there are more people affected then just me.
Menthol containing Essential oils are starting to have some supporting research showing they have a positive effect with inhalation on “mucus clearance in chronic airways obstruction.”
Menthol containing Essential oils are : Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Breathe, Deep blue and spearmint!
So for today’s post I will outline what I did to make myself functional and feeling better in 3 days!
Breathe Vapor rub stick on the chest and feet to open my airways!
On guard throat drops: AMAZING!
On Guard beadlets
Diffuse on Guard and breathe with serenity
Apply motivate and cheer in the morning and as needed through the day
Drink Starbucks citrus defenders and Lime water with raspberries
Use Elderberry drops (Thanks to my colleague Becky!)
And Lastly the use of my home made eucalyptus shower melts!
Here is the recipe!
To make your own shower melts you will need:
1 1/2 cups cornstarch
20 drops Breathe essential oil
20 drops eucalyptus essential oil
1 Tablespoon Witch Hazel (optional)
Food Coloring (optional)- DID NOT USE!
Water – 3 to 4 tablespoons to start, more will likely be needed
ice cube tray or silicone molds
medium size bowl
Step #1 – Add your cornstarch, essential oils, witch hazel and food coloring to medium sized mixing bowl. Stir. It will be very powdery and clumpy.
Step #2 – Add water, starting with 3 Tablespoons. Mix well… it will start as a dry, crumbly mixture. Add water a few drops at a time and mix well. Then a few more drops and mix some more. Repeat until you get JUST past the crumbly point and the color is mixed in. If the mixture gets too wet, add a little more cornstarch.
Step #3 – Spoon the paste into the ice cube tray or silicone mold. Gently tap / shake to work out the bubbles. Freeze for at least 1 hour.
