DIY squirrel Repellent for cold days! WE HAVE A SQUIRREL PROBLEM! It has been snowing like crazy and is super cold! They have decided to help themselves to our nice warm garage and attic space to warm up and destroy everything they touch! We have had the dogs try to catch them, but the darn car keeps getting in the way so we had to find another way to deter these smelly gross rodents! So I hit the research and came up with this awesome blend. It has been sprayed in the attic, garage and garden shed and we have placed it on cotton swabs under the car and on the shelves. It is pretty potent to be cautious when spraying in enclosed spaces.
Here is my Repellent Blend:
- 1 tsp On Guard concentrate
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- 10 drops on guard
- 10 drops lemongrass
- 10 drops peppermint (for the mice just in case)
- 10 drops pink pepper
Fill to the top with water
Mix all together in a spray bottle and go crazy!! Spray high low and in between! The dish soap will help the mixture stick to what gets sprayed.
Also for added bonus we used one drop each on multiple cotton balls and placed in the attic and small cozy places in the garage and garden shed.
Good luck with the battle against the squirrels!
